I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY?

how do I go about recieveing disability if I am retired and was hurt while I was in the service. I serve in every major war that we have had since 1987 and even some that was not shown on tv.

What is the difference between SSD and SSI? I always thought that SSD was for  the ones that worked and made decent money? SSD paid you more than SSI and SSD was for the ones that were totally Disabled for life and will never work again. Can someone explain the difference for me?

IS MY CHILD TYSHANW J BEING APPROVED

I am 29 yrs old and unable to work due to chronic illness. I cannot walk more than 200 yrds. my doctor says I will not be able to resume work and am disabled permanently. However, I have been married since 19 (over ten years now) and was told I do not have enough credits for SSD. However my husband makes about 50,000 a year and so I cannot get SSI. I have been disabled for almost 4 yrs now and we are sinking financially from medical bills. I was told recently that I could get SSD based on my husband's work credits. Is this true? I can't find any concrete info on this but I have seen it mentioned.

Can I use my husbands credits to qualify for SSD?

Here are excerpts from the following which may be useful :
I have never worked but my spouse has. What will my benefits be?

If you are taking care of a child who is under age 16 or who gets Social Security disability benefits, you get full benefits, regardless of age.

You can get Medicare when you reach age 65 or, if you are disabled or have permanent kidney failure, you can get Medicare if you are younger than 65.
