204. Chart of Credits Required to Be Fully Insured

204.1 How many credits do you need if you were born on or before January 1, 1913, to be fully insured?

For people born before January 1, 1913, the number of credits needed to be fully insured is different for men and women. The following chart shows the number of credits you need if you were born before January 1, 1913.

i am on ssdisability, i was born 1-5-1950, am i able to recieve medicare? irene t

Qualifying for Medicare

Generally, you must be age 65 to qualify for Medicare. However, there are exceptions including :

Before age 65, you are eligible for free Medicare hospital insurance if:
* You have been entitled to Social Security disability benefits for 24 months; or...

My daughter will be 3 soon. She has ongoing health issues that require her to go to the childrens hospital several times a year. Now as she gets older i have had to get her into early intervention programs because she cant talk, thefore she cant go to school. Does she qualify for anything, having to be a stay at home mom is not easy, nor does it get the bills paid. Help!!

SSI for disabiled children

You may want to see if your child qualifies for SSI. Children younger than age 18 who have disabilities might make them eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments.
