I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2002, was placed on a treatment which caused liver damage. My doctor stopped the treatment and subsequently moved. In May I was seen by another rheumatologist who started me on a course of treatment which requires monthly injections. During my last visit he informed me that my RA factor was 575. Also my general practitioner discovered that because of the autoimmune system being as it is, I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and a blood disorder known as macrocytosis. Can I apply for disability based on this? Have been told it would be a waste of time.
