Benefits are payable to the spouse of a disabled worker if the spouse is age 62 or older, unless he or she collects a higher Social Security benefit based on his or her earnings record. The spouse benefit amount will be permanently reduced by a percentage based on the number of months up to his or her full retirement age.

Although there are income limitations for SSI benefits, I am unaware of income limits for disability benefits. However, you will have to pay federal taxes on Social Security benefits if you file a joint federal tax return and if you and your spouse have a total income that is more than $32,000.
