Ex-husband disability

Ex-husband recently went on disability and is receiving benefits for our children under the age of 18, placement is split 50/50 through the divorce court. The benefits for the kids all go directly to him. Child support was closed for me because he was unemployed at the time of divorce. How does this work when the children are with me 50% of the time, and he receives all the benefits for them?

It sounds like the husband is the representative payee for the children. In other words, he receives from the SSA all the funds intended for the children.

The SSA requires that representative payees use all received funds for the children, and the SSA requires accounting worksheets from the representative payees.
