Disability benefits

Yes I was wondering if I am collecting disability benefits for my self and minor child and she decides togo and try to live with her Dad, do I still get her amount or does it go to him?

However, it sounds like your the representative payee for your daughter. The law requires most minor children to have payees. These payments are actually intended for your child's benefit. For example, you must save any money left after meeting the beneficiary's current needs in an interest bearing account or savings bonds for the beneficiary's future needs. You also must keep records of all payments received and how they are spent and/or saved.

You also must notify the SSA when certain events happen with the child. For example, you must notify SSA when the beneficiary moves or the custody of a child beneficiary changes.
