I as an adult am applying for Mental Disability for myself. I am a single mother of three children under 18. I was once told that if i was approved for disability that i would receive benefits for myself ranging from 600-800 and 300 for each of my children. Is any part of this correct? If not then will i receive any extra benefits on my case for my children,if yes am i able to get a guesstimate of what my total benefits would be?
Estimated disability benefit
Yes, as a gross estimate, those figures sound plausible.
You can get a quick estimate of your disability benefits here :

You can see other SSA calculators here, but they tend to focus on retirement rather than disability calculators.

Note that for child benefits, they end when the child turns 19 or graduates from high school (which ever comes first). Also, there is a "family maximum" benefit which starts to kick in with multiple children.

You'll want to consult Social Security directly for your case.
