IF YOU 'RE A WOMAN WITH CHILDREN AND IS MARRIED TO SOMEONE WHOSE NOT THE CHILDREN FATHER CAN YOU RECEIVE BENEFITS FROM YOUR HUSBAND FOR THE CHILDREN EVEN IF THEY ARE RECEIVING CHILD SUPPORT FROM THEIR BIOLOGICAL FATHER AND THEY WERE NOT ADOPTED BY YOUR HUSBAND? DOES IT MATTER WHAT STATE YOU'RE LIVING IN?
Benefits for children
You don't mention what type of benefits are in question, but please contact Social Security directly for this.
Under certain circumstances, benefits can be paid to stepchildren, grandchildren, or adopted children.
