I have been awarded a court order in my favor acknowledging that my former husband owes me money for unpaid alimony. Despite the court order, he has not made a single payment. Can I garnish some of his social security benefit to collect some of what he owes me? We were married for 31 years. I was a stay at-home mom who raised two children and supported him in his career. I need to collect what he owes me to help support myself.
