HELP!!

Is anybody administering the SS Dept??? It appears totally broken - a HUGE mess. I NEED HELP and you certainly can not get it at the offices or by telephone (the electronic answer is a TOTAL nightmare by itself) . All I need to know is there some kind of Advocate, that will work on SSI issues with you and/or trouble shoot issues. I have received 26 pages of letters from SS/SSI/SSD, that mostly start out with "Ooops we made an error). Now its just chaos in trying to figuer out whats happening and still dont know what my income is or will be. Not to mention that the last notification the sent said they could not pay me what they made an error on in a bulk some so they would pay in smaller payments monthly. Well, thats just fine except I am a sr in low income housing and they will be increasing my rent due to this increase in monthly income. Go figure that SS would work as much against you as for you. PLEASE CAN I GET AN ADVOCATE OR SOME KIND OF OBJECTIVE HELP (NOT A PRO SS PERSON).

Sounds like one issue is determining what your income is or will be.

Have you requested a Proof of Income letter ("Benefits Letter")? You should be able to receive this letter within 10 days. You can request the letter here :

her name is ava (she'd be in her 60's now) was last in kanawha county,wv. she is deaf and i would like to find her before its too late

Social Security cannot provide an address of someone without his or her permission. However, the SSA offers a letter forwarding service that can be used to attempt to contact a missing person. The SSA can attempt to forward a letter to a missing person under circumstances involving a matter of great importance, such as a death or serious illness in the missing person's immediate family, or a sizeable amount of money that is due the missing person.

Also, the circumstances must concern a matter the missing person is unaware of and would undoubtedly want to be informed. Because this service is not related in any way to a Social Security program, its use must be limited so that it does not interfere with the agency's regular program activities.
