IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE THAT'S MARRIED BUT HAVE NOT LIVED WITH THE SPOUSE FOR 2 YRS. BE ABLE TO RECEIVE BENEFITS FOR HER CHILDREN ON THE SPOUSE'S DISABILITY WITHOUT HIS CONSENT/KNOWLEDGE EVEN WHEN THE SPOUSE LIVES IN ANOTHER STATE? THE CHILDREN ARE RECEIVING CHILD SUPPORT FROM THEIR REAL FATHER AND IS NOW RECEIVING BENEFITS FROM THE STEPFATHER WHO DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE THAT THEY WERE. SO, NOW HIS ONLY CHILD BENEFITS WERE CUT BECAUSE OF IT. IS SHE-THE SPOUSE- ALLOWED TO DO SO?

I recommend contacting Social Security directly for your situation.

For this case, it may be possible for you to receive benefits based on the disability of the husband if you have a child in your care. The date your benefits stop in this case may be different than the child's. If the child is not disabled, your benefits will end when he or she turns 16.
