Ok my 5 year old step son recieves a SSI Disability check. My 15 year old (from previous relationship) is now eligible to draw a survivors benefit check due to his fathers passing. My question is will MY son's survivor benefits effect my step sons ssi?

SSI payments can be affected by other income you have. Social Security benefits are called "Unearned Income".
Here is an example provided by the SSA :
EXAMPLE : SSI Federal Benefit with UNEARNED INCOME
Total monthly income = $300 (Social Security benefit)
