Social Security COLA Benefit Increase Expected to be 2.2 Percent for 2018

The 2.2 percent COLA (cost of living allowance) increase expected for 2018 will be the largest benefit increase since the 3.6 COLA of 2012.

The COLA for 2016 was 0.3 percent.
