Does the SSA have a right to withhold my Federal Income Tax Return Check without prior notice because they allege when I was a minor I caused the SSA to make overpayments to my father's SS account which account was not under my SS account as an adult, included my SS benefits when I was a minor.
I have since filed a Request for Waiver, which was denied without addressing the problem, then I filed a Request for Consideration last August which has not been neld yet. The SSA has been holding my Incomet Tax check since last February.

Sorry, we can't help with your particular situation as we are not affiliated with the SSA. It sounds like, however, you're making an appeal with SSA which is advisable. You may want to seek third-party help (lawyer) for this.
