School

My grandfather died in 2007 and ever since then I have been receiving his social security death benefits...do I need to be enrolled in public school to still be able to receive the benefits or may I be home schooled or taking class's online....I was originally going to public school but I am having some troubles in school and I was switching over to home schooling Is there still a guarantee that I will still get the benefits ?

The SSA appears to have a rather lenient view of what constitutes school for survivor benefit purposes.

For example, SSA documents state :

Child benefits end at age 18 unless you are disabled or a full-time student attending a secondary (elementary) school, home school, alternate school, General Education Degree program, or online school.
