I'bro had scoliosis for seven years now and the pain seems to be getting worse. Is it a good idea if I apply for SSI?

Social Security disability and scoliosis
This may be possible. Scoliosis is listed in Social Security's disability evaluation handbook. To qualify for disability, your condition must preclude you from engaging in "substantial gainful activity".
There are two types of disability -- "normal" (SSDI - based on wage history) and SSI (based on need - low income/assets). SSI has stricter reporting requirements.
