Social Security Office, Mountain View, CA
I have been on hold, for more than 20 minutes now, listening to music, and every 20-30 minutes announcements thanking me for holding. By the way, this is third time that I have been on-hold with them this afternoon. The first two time, after about 15 to minutes the line went dead, and I had to re-dial. I am still on hold as I am writing this........... how long more I will be on hold.... wh knows?

they need to do something about that. its 2011 and the same thing with the phone lines is still going on.
No more local phone
Apparently this office has eliminated their local phone. The only number listed now is the National number. You can't call this local office directly anymore.

My experience of going twice this week to the Social Security office on El Camino was very positive. I arrived fairly early 8:30 on a Wednesday and Thursday morning, and I didn't have to wait very long. Both David and Emily helped me sort out what I needed in a very friendly way. I am very grateful.
