If your check is missing, lost, or stolen, it can be replaced, but it takes time.
By Mail
If you normally receive your check by mail, wait three days after the date you normally receive your check before calling the SSA. To report a late, missing, or stolen check, contact the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. You should also consider direct deposit for future payments.
Direct Deposit
