my husband has been approved for ssd and will get his first check this month.. we just seperated 4 days ago.. i have do not work due for caring for him. will i receive any benifits from ssd ? if so how long?

I'm not sure I understand the situation fully, but there is no provision in the Social Security Act to provide benefits for caregivers of the aged or disabled. However, you may want to contact your local social services or welfare departments to determine if there are any locally sponsored programs that might provide you with assistance. These organizations also may be able to provide you with the names of other organizations that might be able to help you.
