I am mentally challenged because of a work related injury.
I wish to do things normal people do. While I am on disabled am I allowed to live a good quality of life? For example if I wanted to go canoeing with my family or go camping would this be somewhat frowned upon if I wanted to do stuff they do. Just because I am disabled doesn't mean I can't enjoy what's left of my life. Please let me know, I am disabled and have been collecting disability benefits since 1999.

The person in this letter wanted me to write to you and get answers, so she can have a better quality of life than just sitting at home.

Generally, cash benefits would be stopped only if the evidence shows that your medical condition has improved and that you can work on a regular basis. As long as your condition has not improved and you are not able to work, your cash benefits will continue.

It's possible that undertaking certain activities may be "evidence that your medical condition has improved".
