Wrong address on web site
went to old location... new location just n of dodge off of old mill road

I called SS office to find out-had a 10 minute wait to talk to someone! I did get the new location from the recording. It's 604 N 109TH Ct. I have no idea where that is though. The phone system really needs improvement!.

There isn't a local number to call but 866*716*8299 will get you through to the Omaha office. 604 N 109th Ct is located on the North side of 108th & dodge.

Not sure why I'm surprised
I had to come in to get a replacement SS card today and was surprised with the service received. There was a SS worker who came out to answer questions, directing people what they needed to do when the office opened, and hand out any needed forms. The folks on the inside were all business, but pleasant, even the security guard. I was in and out in just a short amount of time, I was really dreading this. Thank you all.

who oversees social security workers?
I received a notice in the mail 5 days before a payment was due informing me that I wouldn't receive it due to a retroactive medicare payment..I called and spoke with L.M. At first she was very helpful but over the course of time became extremely difficult. I asked for the supervisor who never called me back ( all they would tell me, his name is B.). I am researching to see whom I need to contact to make a formal complaint. Just because I am "disabled" does not make me unintelligent or any less human.

I also dreaded calling the Social Security Office due to hear-say, however - my call was answered immediately by "Julie" who was very professional and knowledgeable and treated me with dignity and respect. She set me up with a phone appointment and stated a rep would call me on Fri (in three days) at 11:00 am.
Hint: if your attitude is not angry and offensive when you call them, you will be quite surprised at the expediency of the service. I know companies here in Omaha that could take lessons in customer service from these people.

Overpayment
I just got a letter from the SS Adminstration saying I have been overpaid by one full month, and I must pay it back. Their calculations are probably correct, but what upsets me the most is the date that I started collecting benefits was figured up by someone in the Omaha office, not me, and her comment to me at the time was "of course you should start getting payments now...why wouldn't you?" Well, apparently I received benefits too soon...
