My wife recently got diagnosed with a cavernous meningioma (brain tumor) that affects her vision causing double vision which affects her balance and her ability to work at her current job.
How do i know if she qualifies for SS disability benefits?
She has received Gamma Knife Radiation Therapy which only stops the growth of the tumor.
Cavernous meningioma (brain tumor) and disability
Assuming your wife has worked long enough to qualify for disability benefits, this may be possible.
There appears to be a "grading" system associated with the tumors. The severity of the tumor may lead to a successful disability claim. Your doctor or other adviser may be able to help evaluate the likelihood of a successful claim.
