I have a 16 yr old and a 4 yr old who were born hearing impaired. Can they receive benefits? they both wear hearing aids to hear. Thanks
SSI benefits for children with hearing impairment
Yes, children can get SSI benefits if they meet Social Security's definition of disability for children and if they have little or no income and resources. The SSA will also consider the family's household income, resources and other personal information.
