I was married to my ex-husband for a total 29 years, 27 years we lived together. I just recently married will I be entittled to any of his social security when he starts to draw or is deceased?
Effect of remarriage on benefits linked to previous spouse
Generally, the SSA cannot pay benefits if the divorced spouse remarries someone other than the former spouse, unless the latter marriage ends (whether by death, divorce, or annulment), or the marriage is to a person entitled to certain types of Social Security auxiliary or survivor's benefits.
