I was getting ssi for my disabled son. They claim to have overpaid me, I didn't keep appropriate records to prove my case. If I pay back the overpayment can I get ssi for him again?
Overpayment and resumption of benefits
The following two links imply that one can still receive benefits while involved in a repayment program. So I would say the simple fact that you have an overpayment does not preclude you from current or future benefits. Of course, your child would still have to meet other qualifications.
