Hi everyone. I just got my fully favorable letter from the judge for my SSI case. My oldest son is also on SSI and has been for many years. My question is do they consider his SSI check as income when they figure out how much I am going to get?
Is one child's SSI deemed to another child's benefits?
I could not find a definitive answer to this.
On the one hand, in general Social Security benefits seem to be income that can be deemed (allocated) to an SSI beneficiary.

However, the SSI benefit in this case is for your eldest son, and not "your" income. It seems that only the parent's income is deemable to an SSI beneficiary.
