Can unauthorized immigrants get Social Security?

Immigrants not authorized to work in the country cannot legally obtain Social Security numbers, said Kenneth Bagner, a certified public accountant with Sobel and Co. in Livingston.

He said if an unauthorized immigrant worker has a Social Security number, fraud has been committed.
