I am not positive but I am pretty sure last year around this time I received a tax return check that was about the same as a monthly check as mine. If anyone knows if this is true, normal or if I may even receive one again this year please reply. Things are cery tough now and anhthing will hrlp. Thanks a lot for your time Trent A
SSI tax check
You may be referring to a couple things here.
First is an income tax refund check which you may be due. In general, to receive this, you'll need to file a tax return and have any excess withholding (if any) returned to you as a refund. This is standard procedure for any tax year.
Second is a stimulus payment. There was a $250 stimulus payment sent in 2009 to Social Security and SSI recipients. However, I have not seen a stimulus payment for 2011.
