i want to get my own place , i can make the rent but wont be able to pay my lights & heat bills like that .
I was wondering if SSI would help at all ? like maybe higher what i get a month ? right now i stay on a friends couch i really need help to get on my own & my be able to pay the apartment utilities..
SSI and housing assistance
SSI funds can be used for your housing needs. However, I am unfamiliar with any SSI program specifically meant to provide housing assistance beyond the basic SSI payment.
