Hi I'm just wondering my sister gets ssi an the kids have a check as well because of their mom, her oldest kid an her don't get along an my neice might move in with me. Does this affect her benefits in any way?
Change in living arrangements and SSI benefits
Yes, there may be an effect on the benefits received by both your sister and her oldest child. The exact effect is hard to tell and likely will depend on your sister's income, the child's income (if any), and your income.
Note changes in living arrangements for SSI recipients must be reported to Social Security.
