My Fiance and I want to get married within the next 2-3 months. We just found out i was pregnant and we we're wondering How much would my check be affected? Being that I am pregnant and that I want to get married? Any help will be nice.
Effect of marriage on benefit
This depends on the type of benefit you're receiving. If you're receiving survivor benefits, marriage may well eliminate your benefit. If you're receiving SSI, marriage may well reduce your benefit. If you're receiving "normal" disability (SSDI), I know of no positive or negative effect of marriage.
