When is a child automatically entitled on a second earnings record?

736. When is a child automatically entitled on a second earnings record?

A child entitled to benefits on one earnings record is automatically entitled on a second earnings record if:

  1. The child is eligible for benefits on the second earnings record; and

  2. The child eligible for benefits on both earnings records applies for benefits on the second earnings record.

I'm getting social security from employment retirement and I adopted two (2) children with ADHD are my adopted children intitled to social security also even though they receive money from the state because of the adoption or is it more beneficial for them to be on social security if they can. Thank You.
