I've applied for disability in June 2011 and still have not heard back. How long does it take and is there any way of finding out when I will begin receiving benefits?

The SSA Commissioner stated the national average time disability claimants waited for a hearing decision was 354 days in April 2012.

I filed my claim in early July, and just got my denial letter today Dec. 12th!
