I received a 250.00 stimulus check for my air force related disabilty and when I filed taxes this year, they made me subtract this amount from my refund. I don't get it.

Taxability of 2009 stimulus payment
The one-time $250 economic recovery payment is not considered gross income for tax purposes. However, anyone who received the economic recovery payment and claims a Making Work Pay Tax Credit must reduce the claim in Schedule M of their 2009 federal income tax return by the amount of the one-time economic recovery payment.
For more information about how the one-time $250 economic recovery payment and the Making Work Pay Tax Credit affect your 2009 income tax return, visit http://irs.gov/recovery. You can get Schedule M and the related instructions online at IRS.gov.
