My daughter is 12yr old. We discovered she was dyslexic at 6 yr old. In first grade we moved her out of the public school system and placed her in a private school that specializes in dyslexia. She was there for 3 yr but the tution was so high we moved her to another private school and she is in a reach program at this school. I am having trouble paying the tuition and she can not survive in the public school system because of the dyslexia. We have gotten current IEPs throughout all this. Could her dyslexia be covered as a disability to help pay her tuition>
Dyslexia and disability
Sorry, we were unable to find anything regarding dyslexia as a disability and Social Security.
I recommend contacting Social Security directly for your question.
